Confirm Save for Modified Documents

Parent page: WorkspaceManager Dialogs

The Confirm Save for Modified Documents dialog.

Summary

This dialog allows the designer to choose which modified documents are to saved, and which are not, when closing one or more projects possessing design documents with unsaved modifications.

Access

The dialog is accessed in the following ways:

  • When attempting to close an open project, and that project has at least two modified design documents that have not yet been saved.
  • When attempting to close down CircuitStudio, and there are at least two open, modified design documents that have not yet been saved - across one or more open projects.

Options/Controls

  • Document List - the main area of the dialog lists all open and modified documents, for which you need to make a decision about whether or not to save. Documents are grouped by type (e.g. PCB Documents, PCB Projects, Schematic Documents). Each document itself is listed with respect to the following:
    • Document Name - the name of the document, including its extension.
    • Document Path - the path to the document.
    • Decision - the decision of whether or not to save the document. By default, the entry will be set to  Save. Use the field's drop-down to change this to  Don't Save.
  • Save All - click this button to quickly set the decision for all documents in the list to  Save.
  • Save None - click this button to quickly set the decision for all documents in the list to  Don't Save.
  • Save Selected - click this button to quickly set the decision for all currently selected documents in the list to  Save.
Use standard Ctrl+click and Shift+click techniques to multi-select entries. Note that multi-selection only works across documents in the same grouped category.
